Herend July Festival

Thousands of visitors celebrated the 200th anniversary of Herend together at the Herend July Festival, jointly organized by the Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. and the Municipality of Herend.
In addition to its employees, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory also welcomed their relatives to the event.
The two-day event offered visitors many colourful cultural, musical and family programs. Among the performers were the Grog band, Dirty Slippers, Zenebona children’s band, Pannon Castle Theatre, ABBA Tribute Show, Kelemen Kabátban, and DJ GO-Q. The BrassTime Orchestra, the stand-up performance of the Aradi–Varga duo, and the musical and literary evening of Róbert Hrutka and Krisztián Grecsó were all a great success. Families enjoyed a variety of craft workshops, live demonstrations, culinary programs, a show by magician and balloon artist Zoltán Molnár, and numerous children’s attractions.
At the festival, CEO Dr. Attila Simon gave a welcome speech, thanking the employees for their work. Following a spectacular show by the Prometheus fire performers, hundreds of volunteers closed the evening by forming the number 200 with the light of their mobile phones, which was captured by drone footage, creating a worthy memorial to Herend’s two-hundred-year heritage and togetherness.
