Herend porcelain pieces in Red Salon of Hungarian State Opera House

The elevated atmosphere of the festive event was made even more special by flute and violin performances.

The exhibition presents the artistic works of the world-famous Manufactory in the representative interior of the Opera House. The exhibition features, among others, authentic porcelain replicas of the Hungarian Holy Crown and General György Klapka’s ornamental sword, an ornamental plate evoking the legend of the miraculous hind, and a special bravura vase decorated with details from the Hungarian Illuminated Chronicle.

Visitors can also get acquainted with the patterns of famous commissioning families closely connected to the history of Herend, including the Esterházy, Apponyi and Batthyány families, as well as the classic porcelain decor ordered by Emperor Franz Joseph for Queen Sisi.
