Herend porcelain trophies on podium of Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix

The porcelain trophies presented at one of the world’s most prestigious motorsports events once again represent Hungarian craft traditions and the exceptional expertise of Herend masters to the international sporting world. The collaboration is further proof of the trust and recognition that the Herend brand has earned for itself worldwide.

The appearance of this year’s collection is defined by Herend’s characteristic Hungarian ornamentation. The patterns drawn from the world of folk-art motifs are highlighted by black contours, which are made even more elegant by gold, platinum, and bronze metal decoration. The race winner’s trophy is made truly special by 18-carat gold, while the openwork porcelain plate awarded to the winning constructor is one of the most complex and spectacular masterpieces of Herend porcelain production.

Each trophy is the result of a long, almost year-long creative process. From design to whiteware-making, firing, and hand-painting, all phases of the work are carried out by the masters of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, following nearly two hundred years of professional traditions. Thanks to this, each trophy is a unique creation that both preserves the heritage of Hungarian porcelain art and represents its contemporary values.

The limited edition Herend porcelain miniature racing helmet, which debuted last year, has been made available for members of the Formula 1 Collectors Club. The numbered and hand-painted creation, produced in only 200 copies per year, evokes the motifs of the Hungarian Grand Prix trophies. The special collection combines Herend’s traditional porcelain art with the modern world of Formula 1, creating a collector’s item that simultaneously symbolizes tradition, innovation, and passion for motorsport.
